The Resort
Novo Sancti Petri adjoins La Barrosa and has been developed over recent years as an upmarket resort of low rise holiday and residential properties, 4 and 5 star hotels, a shopping precinct providing supermarket, pharmacy, bank, and many other retail outlets, cafes, restaurants and bars.
A wide range of sporting/leisure facilities are available, including the renowned 36 hole Ballesteros designed golf course, one of several in the area. There is also a new hospital and clinic close to the golf course. The region is typically Spanish and unspoilt by mass tourism. Wide boulevard style main streets lined with palms provide easy access to all amenities. The fabulous fine sandy beach stretches for miles and is bordered in places by sand dunes which form part of the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park.
Novo Sancti Petri provides everything for an enjoyable and refined holiday. Pine forests abound across the region and open countryside leads to a backdrop of mountains 30 minutes distant.

Villa "Casa Teresa" - Sleeps 6 (Ref. NSP2)
The Villa is located about 2 kms inland from the resort of Novo Sancti Petri. It is a modern, single storey house set in a semi-rural district with wooded areas. At the end of the road, there are allotments full of fruit and vegetables which you can purchases from the locals. The property enjoys the sun all day - rising over the pool and setting at the front of the house. A neighbour of ours is English and lives there permanently - he maintains our villa and there is a mixture of Spanish and English in the road.
The Novo Sancti Petri end of the magnificent La Barrosa beach is a mile or so away and can be accessed via a walk way along side The Barrosa Garden Hotel. By car, the beach is a few minutes drive.
The villa is surrounded by a private, walled garden. The garden is dominated by the pool (approx 24') with lawns all round and a patio area near the steps. The pool and gardens are maintained on a weekly basis.
The Accommodation:
- Sleeps 6 in 3 twin bedded rooms all with large fitted wardrobes
- The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath
- Family bathroom
- Large lounge - Colour TV with BBC1 & 2, ITV, Channel 4 and English radio stations, DVD player. Working fireplace
- The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, ceramic hob and extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, electric kettle, washing machine and microwave. There is a table that opens out
- The utility room houses a spare gas bottle, ironing board etc.
- The water is heated by a gas boiler
Amenities
The Novo Sancti Petri commercial centre is approx 5 mins drive/20 minute walk. Here you will find shops, banks, a small supermarket with fresh bread all day, pharmacy, tabac for English newspapers, stamps etc, ice cream shop and many restaurants and bars. Within 1/2 mile there is a large tennis complex, horse riding stables and the 28 hole Novo Sancti Petri Golf Course (designed by Seve Ballasteros).
At Sancti Petri, there are many water sports.
There is also a private clinic open 24hrs close by.
In high season there are bars ‘chiringuitos’, along the beach at La Barrosa where you can get tapas, drinks and ice creams.
Chiclana is the nearest town and it has a large hypermarket, Hipersol, an old covered market and a wide range of shops and services.
Novo Sancti Petri has many open areas including a park for picnics etc. The area is famed for its horse riding stables with many to choose from, the nearest being opposite the villa. All types of water sports and activities are available as is sea and freshwater fishing. The old town of Sancti Petri, located on the headland beyond La Barrosa, has a marina Above all the fabulous beach is covered in ultra fine white/gold sand for mile after mile. The busier area of La Barrosa is a further two miles down the road.
