The Resort
La Barrosa is a small holiday resort, about 8 kms from the town of Chiclana. It has a long, safe sandy beach which has been awarded the European Blue Flag, a seafront promenade with restaurants and bars and a main street with a range of restaurants and bars, shops, banks and services.
The accommodation here consists mainly of low-rise apartment complexes and villas set amongst the native umbrella pines. It is a popular area with Spanish people, particularly in July and August and during national holidays.
From June to September, ‘chiringuitos’ or beach bars are erected on the beach itself. Along the sea front, there is a promenade with restaurants and bars and parallel with the beach, just 100m back is the main street with shops, banks and services.

Villa Verde (Ref. LB4)
This splendid 4-bedroom villa is located in the quiet residential district of Cerromolino, just a few minutes drive from the beach at La Barrosa.
The area is populated with private villas and as you approach, you will see the salt marshes of the Bahía de Cádiz Natural Park, bordered with pine trees.
The villa is set in a spacious and secluded 700m2 garden, surrounded by 2m walls for privacy. It has its own mosaic swimming pool, a covered terrace and lawned gardens. The villa was completed in September 2006 and furniture and fittings are of high specification
The large lounge has two sets of patio doors opening onto the covered terrace which overlooks the pool. The terrace is furnished with a large table and chairs, ideal for dining al fresco, or for enjoying a quiet drink. The terrace faces southwest and it is delightful to sit here looking out over the pool on a summer evening as the sun sets
The garden is private and completely enclosed, with lawned areas on either side of the villa. There is ample room to park three cars securely inside the property. Entry is via an electric gate with intercom system and a side gate
The substantial mosaic pool has roman steps at the shallow end. It measures 8m x 4m and is surrounded by a large patio, with sun loungers, large portable barbecue and table and chairs. The pool and garden are maintained regularly

Amenities
La Barrosa beach is just 2 kms away from the villa. You can walk to the beach in 20-25 minutes.There are two restaurants within walking distance of the villa: the Popeye Restaurant is reputed for its fish dishes. The Nueva Alegría has a good range of traditional Andalucian and Spanish dishes. Both are popular with Spanish people and you should book if you want to eat there at weekends. A well-stocked supermarket is located behind the restaurant, very useful if you run out of items and open until 9pm most days. There is a shopping centre, with bakery, cash point, newsagent, takeaway restaurant and more bars and restaurants within a few minutes drive. A Supersol and Mercadona supermarket are also close by.
The town centre of Chiclana is about 6 kms away. This is a traditional Spanish town with a bustling covered market and a range of small shops. A large Eroski commercial centre is located on the outskirts of the town.
You can catch a bus to Chiclana or to La Barrosa and Novo Sancti Petri from the main road, 5 mins from the villa.
