The Resort
La Barrosa is a small holiday resort, about 8 kms from the town of Chiclana.
It has a long sandy beach, which has been awarded the European Blue Flag; it is a wide shallow beach, safe for children.
From June to September, ‘chiringuitos’, beach bars are erected on the beach itself. Along the sea front, there is a promenade with restaurants and bars and parallel with the beach, just 100m back is the main street with shops, banks and services.
The accommodation here consists mainly of low-rise apartment complexes and villas set amongst the native umbrella pines.
The Apartment (Ref. AC1)
This is a comfortable, ground floor apartment in a complex of holiday apartments and townhouses which are grouped around well maintained gardens and a large pool. It looks out onto the pool and landscaped gardens.
The apartment has a twin and a double bedroom. The bathroom has a shower, WC and washbasin. The kitchen is equipped with a range of appliances and crockery and utensils. The open-plan living area is spacious with a dining area, incorporating dining table and chairs and a lounge area which is furnished with settees, coffee table and wall unit, with Spanish TV.
There is a DVD player - bring your own DVD's.
The lounge opens onto a spacious south-facing terrace with table and chairs. The terrace has a partly separated area for storing items and for hanging washing
Aldea del Coto is located just 2 kms inland from the beach and centre of la Barrosa, on the main route between Chiclana and La Barrosa. The properties are set in sizeable, enclosed gardens with a large communal swimming pool, which is supervised by a lifeguard. The pool is open from mid - June to mid -September. Permanent staff maintains the grounds. Car parking spaces are also located within the grounds and to the rear of the development.

Amenities
There is a small commercial area just outside the complex with a bar and a few shops. Outside the complex, just behind the apartment, there is a park with a children’s playground.
La Barrosa beach is 2 kms away (a 20 minute walk). The beach has a pleasant promenade with bars and restaurants. In the main street of La Barrosa, there are seafood restaurants, ice cream parlours, bars and a range of services and banks.
The town centre of Chiclana is about 8 kms away. This is a traditional Spanish town with a bustling, covered market and a range of small shops. There is a large Supersol supermarket on the outskirts of the town.
An open-air market takes place every Tuesday morning near the blue bridge close to the town centre.
