Faro
- 4.5 hours from Chiclana

Getting to the Costa de la Luz from:
Malaga Airport
The Costa del Sol route is quick and easy as it is motorway most of the way. Take the toll motorway to Los Barrios, near Gibraltar. Then take the new motorway from Los Barrios to Jeréz via Medina Sidonia. This is an excellent road as it avoids much of the heavy traffic via Algeciras and Tarifa. Just after Medina Sidonia, you leave the motorway and follow the signs for Chiclana. This road has also been much improved making this an easy option particularly as it is often possible to get cheap flights to Malaga.
Sevilla Airport
From the airport, take the motorway towards Sevilla, then follow the signs for Cádiz. Stay on this AP4 motorway. It is a toll motorway, so have about 10 Euros ready. Stay on the AP4 motorway until Puerto Real, then follow the signs to San Fernando, Chiclana, Algeciras.
The South - Gibraltar & Costa Del Sol
Take the new motorway from Los Barrios to Jeréz via Medina Sidonia. This is an excellent road as it avoids much of the heavy traffic via Algeciras and Tarifa. Just after Medina Sidonia, you leave the motorway and follow the signs for Chiclana. This road has also been much improved making this an easy option
Jeréz
Jeréz is the closest airport to Chiclana, La Barrosa and Novo Sancti Petri.
On leaving the airport, follow the signs to Jeréz, then join the A4 dual carriageway. Stay on it for about 40kms until the road divides. Take the left fork onto the A48/N340 for Chiclana/ Algeciras. |
